Thursday February 11th:

Today we had a sleep in, and then Micah and I went swimming. We went first to the cold small pool, then the big cold pool, then the hot tub, then the cold pool. We swam for about 3 and half hours and then came home and had lunch. After that we went to Kite Beach. Kite beach is mainly for kite boarding and sort of for windsurfing, it is basically the windy beach. My dad is learning how to kite board, but there wasn’t enough wind so we went to this place where they have a gym and yoga studio so my parents could do that while we were on the beach.

Wednesday February 10th:

Today we went grocery shopping and then spent the rest of the day at the beach and getting used to everything. We went out for lunch to a place called Claro, and out for dinner at a place called Voy Voy, it is the restaurant of a place called Vela. Vela is the place where you can rent equipment for all kinds of water sports, but mainly windsurfing.

Tuesday February 9th:

Today we flew to the Dominican Republic to the airport in Puerto Plata and then drove to out hotel in Cabarete. We are staying at a place called El Magnifico.

We went for dinner at a place called Cafe Pitu where they mostly serve pizza and fish.

Monday February 8th:

Today we went to Casa Loma. It is this beautiful castle that a man named Sir Henry Mill Pellet. He made a fortune by harnessing the power of Niagra falls and then making the first electric street lamp. He planned for it to be huge with 100 rooms and for it to only cost him 250,000$ although the normal house then cost 2,000$. He started to run out of money, and the house that was supposed to only cost 250,000$ had already cost him 3.5 million dollars. He was forced to borrow money from the bank and ended up three million dollars in debt. The city didn’t know what to do with the unfinished castle and decided to finish parts of it and put it on display as a museum. Sir Henry and his wife Lady Mary only got to enjoy their castle for about 10 years before they had to move out. Lady Mary died of a heart problem, and when Sir Henry Mill Pellet died it was the grandest thing the city of Toronto had seen in a long time. There were 1000’s of soldiers and people lined the streets to say their last goodbyes to him.

Sunday February 7th:

We went to visit my Aunt for most of the day (she just had a baby boy). While most of my family was visiting my dad was busy sleeping on the couch, and my brother Jed was busy getting into trouble. He had decided to go to my cousins Yeshiva for the day (it is a very serious Yeshiva, and they have school every day except Friday and Saturday. There school goes from 7am-6pm but on Thursday form 7am-9: 30pm.) He managed to get himself expelled from a school he was just visiting.

Saturday February 6th:

We didn’t do much because it was Shabbat. Most of my family went to Shul and then we had lunch at my Uncle’s and Aunt’s.

Friday February 5th:

Toronto! We stopped in Toronto for a (5 day) pit stop. All of my dad’s side of the family and most of my moms side live in Toronto, so we visited with family for about half the day and then started preparing for Shabbat, seeing that it comes around 5:20 here.

This is a trilingual blog so I will be writing in English, Hebrew and sometimes (very rarely) Spanish.

Because of technical issues the pictures will be coming soon
